MEDICAL RECPTIONIST
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming environment while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.

Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.

Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.

Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks, Prompt, etc.

Process insurance verifications and assist with medical billing inquiries.

Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.

Ensure the front desk area is organized and presentable at all times.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Strong understand and useability of electronics and software with ability to learn quickly including Google Suites, Prompt, eClinical, etc.

Front desk experience or customer service experience preferred.

Strong typing skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Knowledge of medical billing processes is advantageous but not required.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED, College Degree helpful

WORK EXPERIENCE:
-
One-Two years of experience as a receptionist preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) AND
-
PT - Physical Therapist - State Licensure -- with the Texas Board of Examiners. Compact license acceptable according to current ECPTOTE requirements within 90 days OR

PT-Temp - Physical Therapist Temporary - State Licensure -- with the Texas Board of Examiners. Compact license acceptable according to current ECPTOTE requirements within 90 days
